My Terms & Conditions

I ask that you, the owner of the dog, is responsible for making sure that their dog is up-to-date with all their vaccinations, flea and tick treatments, de-wormer treatments and kennel cough vaccinated.

I ask that you, the owner of the dog, are to make full disclosure of any characteristic problems which might make your dog not suitable for walking, beit on individual or group walks. This may include behavioral or health problems, aggression to people or other dogs or lack of any training and obedience. If the owner of the dog fails to disclose any information, deemed important that might affect my services, this is defined as a fundamental breach of our contract agreement.

I ask that you, the owner of the dog, accept full liability for any loss or damage caused by their dog whilst being walked. Lydia Day Dog Walking and Grooming Services, is not held accountable for vet fees or third party claims whilst your dog is in our care. This is laid out in the Veterinary Release Form.

In the event of an emergency, I will contact you, the owner of the dog, as a first point of call. In the event that I cannot reach you, I will make contact with a trusted third party number of your choice. This information will be agreed within your contract agreement.

I reserve the right to make decisions regarding your dog’s health provided it is at all times acting in the best interests of the dog. I will inform you the owner of the dog if and when this arises and will always inform you of any advice given by a veterinary surgeon. The owner of the dog is responsible for payment of any veterinary fees incurred. This is laid out in the Veterinary Release Form.

I would like to remind my customers that payments are due at the end of each working week or on the final working day of that week. If otherwise, it will be contractually agreed between myself and you, the Owner. I, as the Business Owner of Lydia Day Dog Walking and Grooming Services, reserve the right to impose any actions should there be regular or significant delays in payment.

Booking:

Clients must ensure that their requirements for the following week are e-mailed or text or verbally agreed over the phone to me no later than Sunday evenings for that week. When first enquiring, you will book in a free consultation with me. This will be followed by your dogs first walk. During the consultation, you will complete and sign; a contract agreement, a Pet Information sheet and a Veterinary Release Form. Completion of all 3 documents will secure your booking.

Charges are as seen on my website and social media pages. Please enquire about walking charges for multiple dogs from the same household.

Invoices and Payments:

I keep an accurate record of customers bookings and balances. Payments for my walking services, need to be made in advance. This can be weekly or monthly advanced payment.

Cancellation:

You may cancel your dogs booked walk and provided you give a minimum of 24-hours notice, you will not be charged. However, if cancellation is made within 24-hours of the walk commencing, the full rate of that walk will be charged.

Policy for termination of contract:

The owner of the dog and Lydia Day Dog Walking and Grooming Services, agree to give one week’s written notice to cancel the contract agreement. If you do not require the service for that week a cost of 50% of that weeks bookings walks will be incurred.

Flexibility:

  • I am fully insured and DBS checked and will walk up to 4 dogs at a time. I offer individual walks, group walks and short walks alongside ‘The Busy Bundle’. Unless specified otherwise or not suitable, your dog will be walked with other friendly dogs.

  • Your booked time will go into my diary and I will try to stick to this as best I can. Please understand that sometimes this time may vary depending on road conditions and unforeseen circumstances. If a situation arises whilst on the walk, this may also delay my ‘drop off’ time. Please allow approximately 15/30 minutes after your booked time slot for me to arrive. If we experience adverse weather conditions, please understand that I will still be operating but may be slightly delayed. If weather is so adverse that it will affect the walk or safety of the dog; extreme heat or snow/ice, then this will be communicated to you, the owner of the dog. If I with no communication, I will refund 50% of the walk to you.

  • Please note that time starts from when I arrive at your property. All my services include pick up and drop off.
